Firefly Jar & Bloopy Gloopy Black light paint
Check this video out!!
awesome!!
The firefly jar is made with clear waterbeads soaked in highlighter infused water, the liquid is highlighter infused water, and I poured in some mod podge. When you shake and turn it in the black light, it looks like fireflies flying around!! It looks even more vivid in person!!!!
The bloopy gloopy paint is made with the same hair gel from my post yesterday, plus the highlighter infused water, and about 1/4 cup of mod podge.

Oooey Gooey black light sensory bottles
I decided to try out the highlighter trick and make some black light water beads with clear water beads with highlighter infused water. It worked!! I love the results!! I made two sensory bottles with two empty plastic Voss water bottles. I used the black light beads, some of the highlighter infused water, some triangle beads, glitter, some of the black light water beads that I made, and cheap walmart hair gel to make one of the sensory bottles. I used dune craft brand slime, some of the highlighter infused water, glitter, and some of the black light water beads I made to make the other sensory bottle. Very cool results!!
*Highlighter infused water is made by breaking open the bottom end of the highlighter, pulling out the ink cartridge, slowly rinsing under running water and squeezing the cartridge into a bowl until the ink is all in the bowl of water. I used a hammer and carefully smacked the bottom end of the highlighter to break it open. Be very careful as to not have plastic pieces flying up to your eyes. Turn your head away and do it down in the sink. Do not hit hard with the hammer. I encourage anyone to use extreme caution when breaking open the highlighters. It takes about 30 minutes to get your highlighter water ready to use.*

Black Light Table
- Gently pop open the top of the Light Tracer 2
- Gently remove the fluorescent bulb in the Light Tracer 2
- Gently remove the black light bulb in the blacklight
- Gently inset the blacklight bulb into the Light Tracer 2
- Put the top back on the Light Tracer 2 and snap it into place, gently
- Turn on the light Tracer 2 and put some blacklight reactant items on it!!
I keep a 3 ring binder under the light tracer 2 to keep it level. You need it to be a flat surface for it to be a black light table. Your kids will LOVE IT and so will you!!! If you have no kids, it would be a REALLY cool display piece in your home for when your friends come over!!

The photos really do not do it justice. It looks really much better in person. The frosted plexi that comes standard on the Light Tracer 2, really is a good thing. You really don't want risk damaging your child's retina's by them staring directly into a blacklight that is beaming up at them. It's a lot of fun, a nice little addition to having a light table... and JUST PLAIN AWESOME!

glow and play + DIY LED balloons
It is super easy to make glow in the dark balloons. You can activate a glow stick, stuff the glow stick inside the balloons and inflate. They sell LED glow balloons at wal-mart and on amazon.com. The cheapest and best way to make them is to buy LED finger lights from amazon.com You just turn them on and then put them inside of white or colored balloons and voila!! Hours of fun!! They work with or without blacklight.
